ART ROTATION Nancy is Coming!

Nancy Guffey is going to be at North Ridge on Tuesday January 22, 2013.

Lessons:
8:30 Kindergarten
9:00 1st Grade
9:30 2nd Grade
10:00 3rd Grade
10:30 4th Grade
11:00 5th Grade

If you teach more than one grade level, Nancy will try to go over both with you at the same time if time permits.

Sharing Our Works of Art

 Here is a piece of art from one of our fabulous Kindergarten lessons. Thank you for sharing! I love to see what is going on in art!

I will be changing out the art work in the hall on next week, If you have a nic piece you think would be good to display, please leave it in the art room on the front book case with a note that says "DISPLAY PIECE" on it.

January Art Lessons

There are two art lessons in the art room that are in addition to what Nancy Guffey will do for us!


The first is TESSELLATION, or tiling it is simply a pattern of shapes that fit perfectly together!

There is a profile face handout in the drawers in the art room.

The students color and cut them out and piece them all together.



The second is WIND POWER, simply making pin wheels.

There is a handout with a square template for you to use to make pinwheels.
